Semiconductor Device, Diode, Rectifier: 1N6661, 1N6662, 1N6663, 1N6661US, 1N6662US, and 1N6663US. Although I have listed a few hundred diode numbers, there are many others styles of diodes. The point of the list is to indicate the function of a diode based on the part number used to describe the diode. managed to find the 611-1157 control diagram for spec D that was in a easier to read format.. got all the wires hook up right.. hit the start switch and nothing.. the scissor choke activates as it should.. no voltage to the coil or fuel pump..
found a rectifier (tiny black box) in line to the resistor? that feeds current to the gen windings to turn it over.. ohm meter only registers at 2000k at 668 200k at 178.9 and 20k at o.. the big resistor looking guy is reading at .05 at 20k and 052 at 2000k.. resistor has a chip in it.. wondering if its damaged or the rectifier is bad..
anyone have an idea?
at a second look at 611-1157 I think one of the wires may be on the wrong terminal.. have to double check that when I get a moment.. of course I put all the gen end covers back on when I put it away for the day..
